an experience platform.

spazio is many things. gallery like showroom, concert hall like atelier, café bar, presentation area - a space, as 'spazio' also means in Italian, for interdisciplinary, cultural value.

“Of course, painting is not the same as painting, just as cooking is not the same as cooking. Whether affordable or unaffordable, it tastes good to everyone, most, few or none at all - but behind it there is a person, passion and suffering, craftsmanship, time and motivation. Here we create a 'blank canvas' for carefully curated talent, regardless of whether they are young or old, aspiring or established." - Julian Botti founded Spazioarte in July 2021. His vision: a bridge between commerce and culture Third place to linger, enjoy and casually “shop” for quality cultural goods.

over 150 years of history in Munich

spazioarte is located in an old biscuit factory in the heart of Munich. It is in a prime location between Gärtnerplatz, the Viktualienmarkt and the German Museum. The old factory building was restored, extended and converted in 2019 by the bottizanafredi architectural firm. In 2023, the project won the facade prize from the Munich Local Building Commission.

The huge old ovens have been opened and now form four niches that form the unique floor plan.

The room, which is literally bathed in white, retains its historical structure thanks to the exposed brick walls. In this way, each exhibit can speak for itself while maintaining the unique character of the rooms.
